Vancouver is home to one of North America’s most vibrant dining scenes. Renowned chefs use produce, meat, and dairy from local farms and freshly caught seafood to create a range of fresh dishes as diverse at the city’s residents. This week’s Guestagrammer, @dorringtonr, is sharing some of his favourite photos from Vancouver restaurants.
“Located in Gastown, @birdandbeets is one of my favourites. I love heading here when I need to get some work done. It’s always shrouded in the most beautiful soft, grey light which creates the perfect atmosphere to get the creative juices flowing. Don’t forgot to grab some @the_wildbunch floral arrangements on your way out!”
“Recently voted the number one Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver, @anhandchi is definitely deserving of that title. Dishing up the most incredible, authentic Vietnamese food and some of the best cocktails in town makes Anh+Chi a go-to when I’m at a loss for where to head to for dinner or happy hour. Do yourself a favour and grab an order of the chicken wings, the yellow curry, or the street-side platter, although you can’t go wrong with anything you order. Did I mention how absolutely stunning the interior is?!”
“Talk about a beautiful restaurant. I mean, look at it! Though @homerstcafebar isn’t just a pretty face, the team there knows what they’re doing. Think elevated comfort food with fresh ingredients and an extensive wine list. Everything you need for a fabulous evening.”
“When it’s pouring rain (which it is often in the winter) there’s only one thing I crave: ramen! Although Vancouver is home to many a ramen joint there’s only one place that really satisfies my cravings; @benkeiramen quickly became the only ramen restaurant I go to. Yes, it’s that good. Do yourself a favour and grab an order of the beef curry. You’ll thank me later.”
“In the heart of downtown you’ll find the best oysters in the city @fannybayoysters. They offer Vancouver’s only tide-to-table oyster bar and shellfish market. They also have a great happy hour.”
“The first time I visited @acornvancouver I was completely blown away. The second time I visited The Acorn, I was totally blown away. The third time I visited The Acorn, I was totally blown away. Every time I visit The Acorn I’m blown away.”
“What’s better than getting a group of friends together for brunch? Getting them together @33acresbrewing so you can all pig out on beer waffles! It doesn’t hurt that 33 Acres is stunning and always has such a fun mix of people.”
Just over three years I made the best decision of my life and relocated to Vancouver! I quickly fell in love with the city and all that it has to offer. Seeing the mountains every day still takes my breath away and I’ll never tire of exploring the many beautiful parks or dining at all the incredible restaurants and cafes.
