Introducing our Instagrammer of the week, @_cuddlefish_! Originally from Melbourne, now living Vancouver, she’s an avid geocacher who selected some of her favourite BC adventures for us to enjoy!
Monck Provincial Park is on the shore of Nicola Lake. In the summer, the weather is generally hot and dry, but can change very quickly. This was the view of the lake from a geocache placed to bring visitors to the park.
This is my home turf. Head down 400ish stairs and you are at (clothing optional) Wreck Beach. This rock berm was built 40 years ago to help prevent further erosion of the fragile cliffs formed over 10,000 years ago.
Across the Sea to Sky highway from The Chief in Squamish you will find these flutes carved out of the granite by glaciers. You can actually feel the direction the glaciers moved slowly by running your hand across the rock.
I moved to Vancouver, BC from another beautiful city, Melbourne Australia. Thanks to my geocaching hobby, I get out and about a lot and I have seen a lot of really stunning parts of this province and learned a lot. All my photos are captured with my iPhone only.
