Have you ever dreamed of seeing the Northern Lights in BC? Let our Instagrammer of the week, @_winterhawk_, make your dream come true! An active wildlife and nature photographer, Ryan writes, “I went with an Aurora Borealis theme, as many people in our province, or around the world for that matter, don’t get the chance to see them!” Enjoy the show!
“Fort Nelson is just as good as any place in Canada for viewing the northern lights. If it is a clear winter night, you can almost be sure to spot them at some point during the evening, or early morning.”
“The best thing about shooting northern lights, is the fact that the aurora, through its own movement, dictate the composure. You never know what you will get, which makes it easy to stay out and shoot for hours on end.”
Born and raised British Columbia, having lived in Port Hardy, Fort Nelson, and now Victoria, I have developed a deep appreciation for the beauty of our entire province. I am an active wildlife and nature photographer, looking to capture our provinces beauty through my eyes, and expose that to as many people as possible.”
