What would happen if you asked local British Columbians to name their favourite places in BC? Our Instagrammer(s) of the week, Taylor and Elaine of @localwanderer, did just that. Their recent @HelloBC #guestagrammer feature take us around to some of their local favourite places in the province, each discovered thanks to adventures with local British Columbians.
It wouldn’t be beautiful British Columbia if it didn’t rain, but don’t let that you stop you from getting outside to explore BC! Local Vancouver Island residents took us driving in a downpour and we found the most amazing light between the trees.
Located near the community of Harrison Hot Springs and nestled in BC’s Fraser Valley is the beautiful First Nations community of Chehalis, where you can camp, canoe along the river, or walk the various nature trails.
Finally, our favourite local spot in BC is 33 Acres tasting room, which also offers a variety of local food vendors. Their rotating beer selection pairs perfectly with snacks from MEat and Bread, Bestie, Cartems Donuterie, Nelson the Seagull, Earnest Ice Cream, not to mention the food trucks parked outside! The best part? Their goal is to sustain themselves by only selling locally in BC. Cheers to that!
@localwanderer is a travel account and blog by two Vancouver girls who find local gems wherever they end up in their car. Follow their adventures on Instagram or Tumblr at http://thelocalwanderer.
