From the lakes of Cariboo to the rainforests of Vancouver’s North Shore, our Instagrammer of the week @rose_and_arrow shows us a few of her favourite locations around British Columbia!
When the weather is sunny, it’s common to see crowds of people enjoying the parks hidden within Vancouver. Jonathan Rogers Park, where this photo was taken, is just one of many that offer an amazing view of Vancouver’s skyline.
We get a lot of beautiful sunsets in Vancouver, and watching one at Cleveland Park in North Vancouver can be a spectacle. Often times, the water is so flat and clear that it can be difficult to tell which side is the reflection.
When rain looms over the city, hikers occasionally escape to some of the North Shore’s mountain trails. If the rain clouds are low enough, they can create an enchanted foggy haven while the rest of Vancouver pulls out the umbrellas.
Porteau Cove is a stone’s throw away from Vancouver, and is worth the 45 minute drive. The views you see while driving on the Sea to Sky Highway are equally as awe-inspiring as the view when you reach the cove.
Originally from Ontario, Sayde moved to Vancouver to enjoy the west coast lifestyle. A lover of the outdoors, with a passion for photography, when she isn’t at work she is out capturing her surroundings.
