Discover BC through the eyes of its locals and visitors! This week, we’re featuring Revelstoke-based adventure photographer, @ryancreary. He’s sharing photos from some of his favourite summer adventures around Revelstoke and Golden.
“Golden is famous for the whitewater of the Kicking Horse River. Another more scenic option is a float on the Blaeberry River, with its wide valley and amazing views of the Rockies and Purcells.”
“Getting up high into the alpine in Revelstoke never disappoints – so many places to discover in the Selkirk and Monashee mountains.”
“Another mountain biking mecca is Golden. They’ve worked hard to build some amazing trail networks and it’s a definite stop on any mountain biking road trip. The all mountain trail, LSD, is a local favorite and for good reason.”
“Paragliding off of Revelstoke Mountain Resort at sunset and over the stoke chair gives an amazing overview of the valley. As RMR continues to expand their summer operations, we are all anxiously awaiting new opportunities to explore the high alpine at the resort.”
“Paddleboarding on the Kicking Horse River below Wapta Falls in such an incredible wilderness setting surrounded by huge peaks of Yoho National Park made for an incredible evening. Rafting, kayaking and paddleboarding are all incredible on this world-class piece of water.”
“Most people know how amazing Rogers Pass is in the winter, with its bottomless snow and steep runs for ski touring, but summer brings a paradise of endless hiking and mountaineering.”
